Mrs. Vivian Callan worked as a Secretary for the Irving ISD...She is the mother of Edith Ann Callan Brock class of 58 and Ronald Callan class of 57 (deseased)...Both attended IHS.

Vivian Callan, age 103, passed on from this life on Thursday, February 22, 2018. Vivian was born on November 28, 1914 in Lingleville, TX to Thomas F. Holland and Eula Lee (Howell) Holland. Vivian worked as a Secretary for the Irving Independent School District. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to spend time with family, especially her grandkids and her dogs Beau and Millie. Vivian loved to cook for her family, she also loved gardening in her yard and flowerbeds. Vivian was a talented seamstress, making her granddaughter’s wedding dress and flower girl dresses, and quilts for everyone. Vivian is preceded in death by her husband Van Callan; her parents; son Ronald Van Callan; grandson Ronald Dean Callan; and son in law Bobby Brock; Left to cherish her memory are daughter Edith Ann Brock; grandson Douglas Ray Brock; granddaughter Melanie Ann Kercher and husband Todd with great grandchildren Nicole, Kristina, Emily and Natalie Kercher; granddaughter-in-law Patti Callan with great grandchildren Gabriel and Amelia Callan; as well as numerous other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 211 West Third Street, Irving, TX 75060. An interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26th just prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Susan G.
